Before you write
- Corrections: please include the page address and the figure you believe is wrong. Because our data come directly from official agencies, it also helps to note where you saw the figure you expected — agencies often revise past data, and different sources use different definitions.
- Questions about a statistic: each indicator page names its source agency and explains how the figure is produced. Our methodology page and glossary may also help.
- Data requests: we’re steadily expanding coverage. Tell us which indicators, states or countries you’d find most useful.
- Investment questions: we can’t provide personal financial or investment advice.
